CCRI

CCRI (Command Cyber Readiness Inspection) was the DoD's former cybersecurity inspection program, now replaced by CORA (Cybersecurity Operational Readiness Assessment). CCRIs evaluated a command's cybersecurity posture, including vulnerability management, STIG compliance, and overall program maturity.

While the CCRI term is still sometimes used informally, the official process is now CORA. The core objectives remain similar — verifying that DoD organizations maintain effective cybersecurity programs — but the assessment methodology has been updated.

Why It Matters

If you hear 'CCRI' in conversation, understand it now refers to CORA. Using current terminology (CORA, not CCRI) demonstrates awareness of current DoD cybersecurity processes and builds credibility with your government customers.
